“Actually,” Chad said, “we both got tested this week, so I think we’ll be sort of occupied tomorrow evening.”


“I just realized,” Noah said, “that with everything else that was going on, I forgot to ask Bobby if he’d finally done the deed.”


“He hasn’t. We decided to wait until we got tested. I’ve had a little bit of experience, but I’ve never done it without protection.”


“I don’t know about you guys,” Tom said, “but I’m ready to lock up and go home.”

They said good-bye in the parking lot and went their separate ways.
