Chapter 116

Once they were alone, Tom and Noah spent some time revising their calendar to reflect their class schedules for the coming term, as well as their rehearsal and performance schedules.

“We’re going to be busy,” Tom said as he studied the printed schedules.

In addition to the performance in Washington, Tom had performances lined up in Augusta, Savannah, and Tampa, as well as a local gig at St. John’s Cathedral, among others. His choir was planning to present the Duruflé Requiemin the spring, and the JSO Chorus would be performing the Bach St. Matthew Passionin the fall. In addition to those items, Noah had to perform his senior recital.

“Better busy than bored,” Noah said.

“Babe,” Tom said, “how could we possibly wind up being bored, as long as we have each other?”
