“Looks like they’ve got at least twenty acres here,” David said.

“Yeah, something like that,” Charles said. “In any case it will meet their needs for several years.”

“People in the suburbs do a great deal of planting in the spring,” Philip said, “and I think the boys will be more than ready to cash in on that.”

“It helps,” Charles said, “that Roger’s father is a real-estate developer and has contacts within that community. He’s working very hard to get a commitment from Publix to put a store in the shopping center here, and when he does, phase two will go into high gear.”

Back in the car, I said, “It’s good to see young guys willing to work hard.”

“Agreed,” Charles said. “And those two in particular seem more than willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.”

“And,” Philip said, “in addition to actively participating in their business, they’re both maintaining a straight-A average at Georgia Tech.”

“There speaks the proud uncle,” Charles said.
