Spurred into action by his words, I undressed and joined him.
“That was different,” I said some time later as we went inside to take a shower.
“You bet,” he said. “We’ll have to do that at home some time.”
“Promises, promises.”
After we were dressed, we took our rather lengthy shopping list, went into Waynesville, and visited a few stores. We returned a couple of hours later with a carful of household stuff, including a flat screen television set. When we’d unloaded the car and put everything in its place, I looked around me.
“It’s beginning to look as though somebody actually lives here.”
“Yep, especially the kitchen.”
