“Take it to North Carolina and leave it at the cabin. That way we won’t have to rent a car when we fly up there.”

“Which brings us to a favor we’d like to ask of you,” Mike said.

“If you can arrange the time off, we’d like the two of you to drive the car up to Maggie Valley for us the next time we go. You can spend the weekend at the cabin and fly home with us on Monday.”

“Jim?” Carl said.

“Works for me.”

“When?” Carl said.

“About three weeks from now,” I said. “Come to my office Monday morning, and I’ll give you the exact dates.”

“You’ve got it, provided I can get the time off.”

“I think that can be arranged,” I said, and smiled. “I’m not without influence in that area.”
