“Most of your people are not able to do that

now,” he said in my mind.

“So one day we will be able to?” I asked.

“Or did you mean that at one time we were able to and that we are

not able to anymore?”

He made a noise, and his body shook a

little. I recognized the combination as a laugh.

“Yes, that was a laugh,” he said in my mind.

“I know that this must all be confusing for you, and that there are

many questions you seek answers to. I cannot answer the ones you

just asked. Perhaps you are right on both accounts, or none, but I

cannot tell you. There will be many questions I cannot answer for

you tonight.”

“But you said that you would answer

questions for me if I came here,” I said.

“And I will,” he replied. “I will help you
