“Did I show you the telephone system?” Trevor said.
“Yes, you did, but how do we connect to the Internet?”
“There is an RJ-45 jack in the base of the lamp on each of the two desks in your den.”
“You guys think of everything,” I said.
“We try.”
“Then thank you for all of your help. I think we’ll unpack and then try to find our way down to the baths.”
“I could use a soak myself. Shall I come back in say half an hour and show you the way? We can have a late lunch afterward.”
“Do you have time for that?” I said.
“All new residents are assigned a family member to show them around. I’m at your disposal for the rest of the week.”
“Lucky you,” I said. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound sarcastic.”
“Actually, it’s part of my training. I spent a number of years managing a resort hotel for one of the family companies, and will do so again in my next life. It’s what I do.”
“Then thank you very much, and we’ll look for you in half an hour.”
