Chapter 23

He said, “I’m back,” and bent down and kissed Nate.

“I’m glad you’re back.”

“How’s it going?”

“I’m making progress.”

“So am I,” Quentin said, “but I’m not finished with the Richards case. Mrs. Richards paid me to find multiple infidelities, and that’s what I’m going to do.”

“One infidelity isn’t enough?” Nate said.

“Not when she paid me for more,” Quentin said. “What are our bad guys doing at the moment?”

“See for yourself,” Nate said, and switched screens to the monitoring program.

“Good. Keep an eye on them while I go over to the office and organize the pictures I took earlier.”

“You got it.”

“Thanks, babe.”

Quentin made his way to his office, and settled down at his desk. Before he started to work on the divorce case report, he checked his e-mail and found an interesting message from Gainesville.

{Nate, got a minute?}

{Sure, Q. What’s up?}

{My professor friend has been heard from.}

{And?}
