“Of course, babe. But I’ve got plenty of time. Our buddies are having lunch, then driving all the way out to the beach to pick up Marv’s van. That gives me at least two hours, maybe longer.”

“Okay, Q, but be careful. It took me twenty years to find you, and I don’t want to lose you.”

Quentin gave Nate a kiss. “I’ll be right back, babe.”

Nate got out of the passenger seat, and walked around the car to get in the driver’s seat, then he pulled the Mustang up to their earlier vantage point. He watched Quentin walk casually across the road and into the woods, then he reached out mentally.
