Chapter 41

In the kitchen, I began to cook dinner. By the time I heard the backdoor open, it was all but ready. I heard footsteps and felt a hand on my naked ass.

“Nice,” Rion said.

“Dinner will be ready in a few.”

“Dinner can wait. I need this now.”

His fingers probed to emphasize his urgency.

“Right behind you,” I said.

Business taken care of, we returned to the kitchen. Rion insisted that I take off the apron before going downstairs.

“We can walk downstairs naked,” he said.

“The stairs are in full view of the front door.”

“Yeah, but the screen door on the porch is locked, and you can’t see through the front door from there.”

“I hadn’t thought about that. What if the doorbell rings?”

“That’s what towels are for.”

“Okay, I’m convinced. Let’s eat.”

After we’d eaten and cleaned up the kitchen, I went to inspect the front door. Rion followed me. “I may be flogging a dead horse here,” I said, “but I’d feel better if that glass was either opaque or had some sort of curtain over it.”
