Chapter 54

“Quinn? Are you still there?”

“Yes.”

“And what do you make of it?”

“If she lived in Philadelphia, why would she use a DC lawyer?”

“Son of a—I was certain you wouldn’t figure that out.” He sounded annoyed.

“Why wouldn’t I?”

He mumbled something about Mark and wild sex, and I bit my lip to keep from laughing. Finally, he said, “Never mind.”

“Do you have anything else about Heather’s ex?”

“Not much beyond his date and place of birth and when they were married. But I’ve got a phone number for one of her cousins, the one she was closest to. Angie Nelson. She might be able to give you more information about Snow.”

I wedged my phone between my shoulder and my ear, took out a pen, and opened a notepad. “Let me have Ms. Nelson’s number.”

He rattled it off, and I jotted it down.

“It’s too late now, but I’ll give her a call tomorrow. Mark and I are flying back to DC in the morning.”

“Hey, did you find Drum?”

“Yes.”
