“Well, I didn’t live with anyone. It only made sense to schedule these things.”

“Yeah?” He raised his head and seemed to study my eyes. “So when are you going to move in with me?”

“I’m pretty much there all the time.” I had no intention of denying either of us, but I couldn’t resist teasing him a little.

He propped himself up on an elbow. “Look, Quinn. You’re giving your town house to Cooper—”

“I’m not.”

“What?”

“I like DB very much—he’s my cousin, after all, as well as my friend—but I’m not just giving him a house that’s valued at almost half a million dollars. He’ll be paying rent.”

Mark growled, leaned down, and bit my chin.

“Hey!” I rested a palm against his chest, as if to push him away. I could feel the pounding of his heart.

“That’s what you get for toying with me. I damned near had a heart attack!”

Instead of pushing him away, I relaxed my elbow and let his weight descend onto me.

But before he could kiss me, there was a knock on the door.
