Chapter 21

Dec 5, 1962: Put Amy in the jumpy chair for the first time—she just loves it and enjoys it SO much! Frankie has ten teeth now. It’s really rainy lately.

Dec 8, 1962: Visited David and Mrs. Taylor today. Around 9 Amy cried and turned so red, we figured it was time to go. Got in the car to go home—and she almost instantly fell sound asleep.

Dec 24, 1962: Mom’s birthday, she is 52 today. We had them and Judy here for dinner today, had ham and potato salad; I made a cake shaped like a trailer!

Dec 25, 1962: Frank got a guitar and a shaver. Me—records and sweaters. Amy a dolly, clothes and rattles. Frankie—five push and pull toys, blocks and clothes. We had dinner at Mom’s and phoned Marcums. Amy loves that dolly; she chews on its hat.

Jan 1, 1963: Amy has a cold.

Jan 15, 1963: Amy got her third polio shot.
