With his eyes closed,Noah didn’t see the man approaching the car before he knocked on the window.


He jumped.“Jesus!”he hissed,looking out to the smiling face of Mikael’s old school friend,Joonatan.


“Sorry,Noah.I just came to see if you were okay,”the man said when Noah opened the window.“I’m picking up the chef’s car to fix while she works.”Joonatan pointed at the small red car near the side of the hotel.


“Yeah,I’m fine.Picking up a friend here.”Noah smiled at the mechanic a bit shakily.


“Okay.”Joonatan looked doubtful,but chose to let it go.“How’s the car?”


“It’s okay.Maxim took a look at it the other day.He says he feels bad for taking your job,though.”Noah shifted on his seat,collecting himself a little better.


Joonatan chuckled.“It’s okay.I got a new regular job anyway.The high school and the vocational school both want me responsible for their cars,so I actually have more work now than I had before.”
