“Morning,”Noah murmured and went to grab some juice and coffee for himself.


Looking contrite,Dallas said a quick“morning”and tried to appear smaller than he was.It was odd to see him like that;the Dallas in Noah’s memories was nothing like this one.


Noah sat down at the opposite side of the table and examined Dallas’s features,letting his gaze slide across the skin that was the same color as Noah’s coffee with a splash of milk in it.The pale blue eyes were hidden by thick lashes and directed securely away from Noah.


“Let’s go for a run,”Noah said after he’d had his caffeine and vitamin C and began to feel like he might just survive another day again.


“W-what?”Dallas stuttered,looking at him like the suggestion was a huge shock.


“At least tag along.We’ll see how your cat is,okay?”Noah got up and didn’t wait for Dallas to follow.
