“It’s okay,I was startled too.”Noah smiled at her.“How about Dallas and I clean the kitchen and you two go upstairs?”


“Yeah,go on.”Dallas made a shooing motion,and the females,after Lark gathered the clothes that dropped off Shani’s lithe form,left the kitchen.


“That was interesting,”Noah said quietly.


“The weather’s getting rocky,it seems,”Dallas agreed thoughtfully.


“It’s nothing like back in the States here.There aren’t hurricanes or earthquakes or anything like that.Maxim said he thinks there’s a proper storm coming,though.Might as well be prepared.”Noah rinsed the dishes and put them in the washer as he chatted so casually he amazed himself.


“I think Mikael said there’s like only one venomous snake and no other dangerous critters like spiders and stuff?”Dallas asked while putting the food things away into the fridge.
