“What do we do?”Lark asked,suddenly ready for action.


“We need to put him on a drip first,to get some liquids into him.Then I’ll go hunt,take the boys with me to get rid of their excess energy.I think a fresh rabbit might be good for him,and if he doesn’t wake up,a stew that will keep until he does?”Noah looked at Lark,who nodded.


“I think….”She hesitated until the men looked at her encouragingly.“I think he needs to know he’s not alone and that he’s safe now.”


Mikael smiled at her.“I agree.How about I stay with him while you make a fire in the fireplace,hand me that comforter from there”—he pointed at the warm down comforter on an armchair in the corner—“and then figure out something for everyone to eat?”
