Staying silent,Maxim let himself be helped into the bedroom,and the audible sigh from the large shifter was all Mikael needed to know to get more worried.“Hold on,I’ll go get Noah right now.Try to hold the shift,please.”


He practically ran out of the room and left Maxim to dry his hair.Mikael didn’t have shoes on,so he stopped at the porch and called out the jaguar’s name.


In a few moments,Noah appeared from behind the shed.“What?”he called back.


“Maxim shifted,but we don’t have long to examine him!”he called,and by the time the first few words were out of his mouth,Noah was already running toward the house.“He took a shower,but he’s getting weaker again.”Mikael frowned as they moved back inside.


Noah went to get his medical kit from the cupboard and was right behind Mikael when he stepped into the bedroom.
