Mikael scrambled in the underbrush,trying to see where the cats were.When he finally saw them,they were a mass of orange,black,and brown mane and massive paws.


He saw them fight,and there was nothing he could do.Suddenly,the forest was full of growls,and he whirled around to look,feeling light-headed when the pain speared through him.There were two shifters behind him,a black jaguar and a large,gray wolf.Both of them stepped in front of him and stared at the fighting large cats.


They couldn’t do much,they all knew it.The way Noah backed a little until his tail wrapped around Mikael’s legs told him that they were there to make sure he didn’t do anything stupid.
