“Okay,okay.I’ll show you how to put the needle in,but we need a volunteer cat for this.It’s easy enough,but you need to get it right immediately so she won’t freak more,”Noah said,and went to get his kit after ordering Maxim to work as their guinea pig.

“Don’t hurt him.I have use for him later,”Mikael called after them as they went to the kitchen to practice poking needles into cats.

Anton stayed after the others and sat down in the armchair when Mikael went around to sit behind his desk.

“What’s on your mind?”Mikael asked finally,after the young man began to fidget.

“I was thinking….Could I maybe have Maxim teach me about the mechanic-stuff in the fall?I’d like to see if I like it enough to make it into a job,and then maybe start apprenticing at Joonatan’s next year or go to the technical school at some point.It might make things easier to be sure,because if I go to school,I might want to move into town to cut back the traveling….”
