Just when I thought that going to a new school could be a fresh start for me, I realise I couldn’t have been more wrong. Not only has my almost-boyfriend dubbed me “The Queen of Freaks,” but it turns out I’m way more powerful than anyone could have ever imagined. That would be all well and good if everything was as it should have been at the Winterwood Academy but what most people don’t know is that there’s danger inside the walls of the Academy far worse than anything we might face outside the Wardings. Students are dying, and other than my super hot sidekick, I’m the only one who knows that there is a serial killer on the loose. Winterwood Academy Book 2: Buried

“The Winterwood Book of Shadows has gone missing,” Lecturer Tomas explained. The way he glanced me up and down made me feel as though he was still suspicious. “You should all get dressed and go down to the courtyard. Celestria wants everyone down there as soon as the searches are concluded.”


With that, he gave one last glance to my friends and then gestured for his men to continue down to the next room, where a couple of girls were peeking through their door as if they already knew what was coming.


My friends and I piled back into our room, and I gasped in shock as soon as I saw it. They’d totally turned the place upside down.


“Look at this mess!” Zoe exclaimed as soon as she stepped in behind me. “It’s going to take hours to set all of this right.”


Keeya was careful to shut the door behind her and Luci before speaking, “Think yourselves lucky.”


“Keeya is right. That could have gone a whole lot worse,” I told my roommate.
