Chapter 26

“Come in, Miss Winters!” Celestria called from her office as the door swung open.

My walk with Tomas had been far less awkward than I had expected it to be.

He stood beside the door now, offering me a kind smile as he gestured me into the room.

Though he didn’t say anything, I could see from his eyes that he was urging me to remember what he had told me.

Air, please stay with me. I thought as I slipped through the open door and it clicked shut behind me.

Celestria was sitting at her desk as she always was. Her pale hands were clasped before her on the desk, and she offered me a cool, calculated smile as she said, “Please have a seat, Miss Winters.”

I took a deep, steadying breath and wandered over to one of the two huge armchairs that sat opposite her.

Sitting down, I felt the familiar sensation of the leather reacting to my body as it melded into my shape and made me a little more comfortable.
