“Well, welcome back,” Kevin said with a smile. He handed a beer to his friend. “Did you have a nice day?”
“Mh. So so.” Alex shrugged. “Kate wanted to go to the movies to see some chick flick. And I hate those kinds of movies.”
“Well, you’re a good boyfriend,” Daniel replied after swallowing a big piece of pizza.
Alex looked at him for a while and narrowed his eyes. “I’m not her boyfriend,” he said before taking a long sip of beer.
“Oh. I-I thought, because…well…” Daniel was confused. Damn! He always said the wrong thing around Alex. But then again, what was so wrong in assuming Alex and Kate were a couple? They were together at the party, at the concert, and they had spent Sunday together,
Daniel was grateful when Kevin helped him reaching out and tapping on Alex’s shoulder, shaking his head.
“Our Alex here, unlike Gabriel who finds love even in a public toilet, doesn’t believe in love.”
Daniel frowned. “Well, that’s sad…”
