Their eyes met for a second when Alex passed by his bedroom door and Daniel shrugged. He couldn’t help it if Alex didn’t like him. Daniel had thanked him, there was nothing more to say, and he didn’t know him well enough to worry about that.
When Daniel came out of his room, he found Gabriel sitting on the couch in the living room with a weird expression on his face. His sandy blond hair spiked in every direction, his eyelids were half closed, and his bottom lip was trapped between his teeth. Daniel tilted his head to one side, pouring a cup of coffee while watching his roommate. Daniel was in dire need of coffee and something to wash down his three aspirins. He had finished the whole bottle of water in one night.
“What’s with him?” Daniel softly asked Kevin, nodding toward Gabriel.
Kevin chuckled and replied just as softly. “It’s something that happens almost every weekend. He says he’s in love.”
