If Daniel continued to amaze him, by the end of the night Alex would be babbling like a newborn. He simply couldn’t find the words. Nevertheless, after a few moments, finally, he succeeded.


“Why?” he asked, narrowing his eyes.


“It’s not what you think,” Daniel answered immediately, giggling nervously and blabbing. “I mean, it’s not that I haven’t invited him because I think…well, it’s not what you think. I just thought maybe you wouldn’t like to have him here, that’s all.”


“Why? Because he’s your boyfriend?” Alex asked with curiosity, studying his friend’s nervousness, almost biting his tongue when he realized what he had just asked.


“Huh?” he said, tilting his head to one side. “N-no. I know you don’t like him, and…wait a minute. You don’t like him becausehe’s my boyfriend?”


“Oh, come on. This is bullshit!” he said, laughing excessively. “I don’t care who your date is.”
