“But he’s your boyfriend!” Gabriel said, as if he was trying to find the missing logic in that decision.

“I know, but, it’s Alex’s birthday. And I don’t think he likes Matt enough to see him at his party. So I thought it was better not to invite him.”

“If I were gay I would marry you,” Gabriel sighed dramatically. “You are, I don’t know, kinda perfect. If we don’t consider the third leg. And the no-boobs thing.”

Daniel looked at him shocked but amused, with a shadow of a smile.

“I mean you always have these kind thoughts for everyone, and you care about what other people think or want,” Gabriel continued, thoughtful. “Maybe I should turn gay and find someone like you.”

Kevin rolled his eyes. “Gabriel, either you are gay or you’re not! You can’t decide to become gay! Mostly you can become a priest!”

“Well, maybe just like the priest in The Thorn Birds, right? I find it quite suitable,” Gabriel said, wiggling his eyebrows before exploding in an infectious laugh.
