Alex walks down the road of his life, apparently without any detours. He has a job, friends, a nice apartment and a girlfriend who meets his needs. Alex stared at Ben and didn’t know what to say. Daniel whistled low, looking at his own feet. Unexpected and so awkward.


“Oh,” was all Alex managed to say. “I…I think there’s nothing else to say then. Just a question…did you…I mean…that day…”


“Yeah, you were the reason I…” He glanced at Daniel and then continued. “You were watching me and…yeah, having your eyes on me made me come. There. I said it. But I couldn’t admit it back then. I was scared, I suppose. And I’ve lived never accepting who I am.”


“You are an idiot,” he whispered at the end. “And so am I.”


Ben shrugged. “Yeah, well, at least you had your reward at the end. You are…gorgeous, and so is your boyfriend. Look at me…”


Well, he was right, but Alex, despite everything, wasn’t a bad guy.


“I’m sure you’ll find someone,” he said, taking Daniel’s hand.
