Then Eli faced him. Eli’s distance shortened as he moved closer to Micha’s face. “I was joking about the potions.”


Eli’s hand came out from the water, gripped Micha’s face as Eli bent slightly down. He stopped. Micha closed his eyes. When Eli didn’t move closer, he did. Barely touching Eli’s top lip then Eli pressed his bottom lip over the top of Micha’s. Micha opened for a moment then closed his eyes and allowed Eli to take charge as Eli opened his lips slightly, varying pressure until Micha started pulling and pushing back at the right times as their kissing lingered.


Eli pulled away. Micha looked into Eli’s eyes. “I wondered when and if it would happen.”


“It did,” whispered Eli. “Are you sorry?”
