“When I’m with you. When I’m not with you. When I think about you. Shit, even when I’m not thinking about you, I’m thinking about you. I don’t know what’s going on with me.”

Brian grinned and tried to lighten the mood. “I have that effect on most people.”

Oliver shoved him, but smiled down at him.

“It’s all good, man,” Brian said. “It just is what it is.”

“What’s all good? That I’m gay for you?”

“Gay for me?”

“I don’t know what else to call it.”

Brian looked into Oliver’s eyes. No bullshit, no fronting, just a scared boy laying it all out there. “You’ve never felt this before?”

“Before you? No, man. And it scares the shit out of me.”

Brian nodded, then looked down at their crossed legs again but feeling the tight arm around his shoulders intently. “Look, like I said. Labels don’t mean shit. You don’t have to be gay or bi or whatever. You’re just Oliver.”

This time Oliver smiled. “When did you become so evolved?”
