“Are you still ticked they don’t serve beer?”

“I didn’t know it was such a fancy place,” Henry said. “I’d have worn a tie or something.”

“I’m not wearing a tie. It’s smart casual.”

“I was going for the windswept high school coach look.”

“In that case,” Jake smiled at the humor in his date’s eyes, “you’re rocking it.” The man was burly, masculine, and trying his best to seem comfortable in his surroundings. Jake contemplated ordering one more wine before releasing Henry from his obvious torture but couldn’t get it over his heart. Feeling something swell up deep inside him from the man’s willingness to take himself so far out his comfort zone for Jake, he finished his wine and sat back in his chair.
