Castiel broke the thick silence as though what Jason saw wasn’t the earth moving experience it was. “He is content.” Castiel smiled sweetly and rubbed the black cheek trying to press against his own. “He says the stable becomes a bit colder than he likes once the leaves litter the ground, but it is an idle complaint. So is his wish to run more.”

“That’s it?” Jason knew, objectively, that he spoiled his horse to a degree that most likely had his father spinning in his grave, but Jason refused to be as apathetic about his work horse as his dad had been. Seriously though, nothing?
