Chapter 11

“Does the fire burn continuously or only when the globe is in use?” Dale asked.

“As far as I can tell, it burns when the cabin is occupied.”

“I have to admit, it’s a nice feature, especially since it’s pretty damn cold outside.” Dale crossed the room and pulled a quilt from the bed. He laid it on top of the multi-colored wool rug that was in front of the fireplace. He had anxious hopes that being here would make everything work…physically anyway. Dale had a lingering feeling that Riadh might feel threatened by all the offers made by Archimedes. Some long slow intimacy, even if his junk didn’t perform, seemed like a solace to the emotion. Sitting on the quilt he held out a hand to Riadh. Riadh sat down. “Scoot over, I want you in front of me.” Dale spread his legs.

Riadh complied and Dale wrapped his arms around the djinn, nuzzling against the back of Riadh’s neck.
