She snapped more photos inside the terminal, rushing up to a window to take a picture of a plane taxiing in for a landing in the dusk, then making Larry pose in front of an advertisement for Geo’s concert that hung on a wall. “My dad’s dating the hottest guy on the planet!” Crystal cried out at the top of her lungs as they headed down the escalator leading to the arrivals lounge.
Larry glanced around, embarrassed. “Crys, hush.”
“Dad, please.” Crystal rolled her eyes. “This is New York. No one cares if you’re gay.”
A man walking past them on the escalator gave her a grin over his shoulder. “You tell him, sister.”
With a smirk, Crystal said, “See? Thank you. If I had a hot boyfriend, I’d want everyoneto know.”
From up ahead, the man called back, “You and me both!”
Crystal laughed. “I lovethis city!”
