“Sure, I’ll come with you.” Todd followed Eron to the bar.
“You two look good together,” James said.
“Thanks, I never thought about it, but I suppose we do.”
“It’s just a different mindset. I mean, the whole time we grow up, we are fed these signals that we will grow up, get a good paying job, marry a cute girl, have kids. It’s up to us to navigate through this whole homosexual thing. That’s what I meant by your guys looking good together. You look happy, like you want to be together. That’s important in a relationship.”
“Have you always been…I don’t know what the word is, open with your lifestyle?”
“I guess we’re as open as we can be. I mean, we don’t walk down Wall Street hand in hand, but I don’t make up any stories at work about going home to a sweetheart.”
“Don’t you get asked a lot of questions about settling down?”
James shrugged. “Not from the guys at work. Some of them are jealous I live a bachelor’s life.”
