Chapter 25

While he waited for his book to be published he maintained his position as filler-inner at Tania’s Diner.

“It’s a slow business,” he told Tania when she enquired about his book.

“But the six months are up, surely?”

“I have to go back to Sydney in a fortnight for the launch. They’re having some kind of party for me.”

“Ooooh. Look at you. We’ll be reading about you in Woman’s Day next.”

Alexander smiled. What Tania didn’t know was that he was already making notes for his follow up book. He wanted to explore the idea that there was no such thing as reincarnation and relate stories of past lives to parallel universes. First, he had to scour the web to see whether or not his idea was as original as he thought it was, then he wanted to find people who could actually remember future lives; lives lived in worlds that could only exist in another universe. He knew it was even more mind-bending than the themes in his first book. Nevertheless, it was something he felt compelled to research.
