I laughed again. “Hell no. Actually, I figure as long as we’re here, I might spill my guts to Bob-Gunnar; all about the money and the condo and stuff to see what my options are. I kinda feel like Jeremy’s taken enough already. I’m just gonna tell Bob-Gunnar he needs to find a way for me to catch a break.”

“So what’s his deal, anyway?” Thumper asked.

“Apparently, he’s lost his damn mind,” I harrumphed.

“No, I mean Bob-Gunnar. Is he gay? Or just straight but not narrow, or what?”

“I dunno.” I shrugged. I guess I hadn’t given it a whole lot of thought this time around. We’d been over a barrel, he offered help, I accepted. He had been uncommonly hospitable, to be sure, but he lived in a large house in a small town, and we did, after all, go way back. Was it that out of the ordinary?
