“…but by the looks of things and how he stormed off here, and you talking to me now, I’d bet that things aren’t exactly going as planned with it all.”

“Oh, my God,” he said.

“We’re really sorry to have bothered you,” said Lacy.

“Look, it’s no bother at all. All I’m saying is that that man is head over heels for you. There is absolutely no doubt about it. If I were you, I’d get home and make up with him straight away.” Alice seemed like a small town busybody to Tim and he couldn’t handle any more of her.

“Already ahead of you lady,” he said as he made his way to Lacy’s car.

“He was mad,” Lacy said and shook her head for extra emphasis.

“He’s the one keeping secrets from me, sneaking round, making mysterious phone calls at all hours, and changing the password to his email account and he’s mad at me?” Tim said.

“Don’t do that Tim,” Lacy said.

“Do what?” Tim said.
