My stomach tightened at the mention of Mitchell??s name.

Christopher told me that he and Mitchell had reconnected recently and that Mitchell had relocated back to the Pittsburgh area to care for his elderly father after living out west for more than a decade. I listened to Christopher without interruption wondering all the while why he was giving me a rundown of Mitchell??s life. Finally, he sighed and got to the point.

??Look, this is probably going to sound bizarre, but Mitchell will be in Philly for a few days and he wants to get in touch with you.??

??He wants to see you. He asked about you and I told him what you??d been up to. Apparently, he??s gay now and since you??re gay, he thought maybe you two could hook up or something, so I gave him your number.??
