Chapter 47

He wasn’t at all surprised to discover the gallery had excellent security—cameras, motion detectors, the works. Not that they would deter Leander since he could teleport in, grab whatever painting he had been commissioned to steal and be out of there before, as he had once put, back when, ‘the cops or security people are in their cars’. Caiden remembered that day well. It was the last time he had seen Leander before his betrayal. And now, God willing, you’ll find out you fucked with the wrong man, Leander.

While Caiden was at the gallery, Theirn was playing his role. He had dropped Caiden off, and then began furniture hunting—first at the high-end places close to the gallery, and then farther away. Not that he bought anything. That was supposed to be Caiden’s job, when Theirn dragged him along to look at his choices. The main idea was to let it be known that he, as Theo Page, was what he seemed—a very spoiled young man who expected his lover to cater to his every whim.
