Chapter 62

“We get VIP treatment,” Caiden commented.

Zander snorted. “You get me, because we’re going back to my house for debriefing. After that, you’re on your own.”

“What’s to debrief? We got Leander. End of story,” Caiden replied, snagging his bags as they came around on the carousel. He already had Styge, since the cat had been considered carry-on luggage.

“Details, Caiden. Details. You know me. I want a blow-by-blow of everything that went down.”

Caiden sighed, glancing at Theirn, who didn’t look exactly excited by the idea.

“I will feed you,” Zander told them. “Given airline food, or lack thereof, you’re probably hungry.”

They were, so when they arrived at Zander’s house—and after Caiden had morphed back to himself—Zander questioned them thoroughly while they ate. When both the meal and the debriefing were over, Theirn offered to drive Caiden home. “After we pick up my car at my place.”
