“It’s still Earth, just another part of it. They use it like a sanctuary, but they can go back and forth between the planes for food.”
Carter and Paul looked at each other. Their mutual expressions of disbelief and horror spoke volumes.
“We’ve got to find this scientist then. We’ve got to make him send us back home,” said Carter, turning to Juan.
“Good luck to you,” said Juan. “Those bastards won’t let you get within a hundred yards of him; that’s if you can even find him.”
“We can try…”
Carter was interrupted by the arrival of the vampires.
“Ah, dinner time,” said Juan.
“For them or us?” Carter asked.
The vampires were herding a group of naked and semi-naked men towards the cells, each of whom was carrying a large tray laden with what appeared to be fruit and meat of some kind.
