“You should tie it back.”

“Then I’d be doing the Highlander thing, and while he’s a step up from Legolas, he’s still not my ideal. I rather like your lord image.”

“It does fit you,” Daniel told him as they headed downstairs. When they got to the entryway, Daniel handed Griffin his jacket.

Griffin donned it, then slung his bow over his shoulder, hanging the quiver of arrows off the tip of it. “Now I’m ready to face the wild beasts of the forest.”

Daniel grinned. “Like the predator rabbits?”

“Exactly.” Griffin looked at him for a moment, a smile on his lips. Then he cupped Daniel’s jaw with one hand and swiftly kissed him before opening the front door. “I’ll see you on the morrow, to stay with the whole ‘lord’ persona.”

“I’ll be here,” Daniel replied, licking his lips. “With bells on.”
