He knew he wouldn’t really do that. The trouble was he had no idea how to deal with the problem he was facing.

Is that man really out there somewhere, watching? Was he telling the truth when he said he’d done that before? Maybe that’s why I’ve been having those feelings. Ray admitted he knew about the house well before he came by. Maybe he had that guy casing it out for him.

Getting out of the shower, he dried off, popped a couple of aspirin for his headache, and then checked the wound on his head. The shower had rinsed away the blood and he saw that it was actually just a minor break in the skin at his hairline. A trace of blood oozed out when he touched it, so he found some bandages and put one over the cut. There wasn’t anything he could do about the bruising on his temple other than ignore it.
