“What you really mean is that’s just as boring as you said it would be.”

Rex snorted. “It’s nice, like I said. I’m thinking of getting some of these for my new house. Which one do you think I ought to get? The pumpkin or the jack-o’-lantern?”

“The pumpkin is more practical because you can keep it up through Thanksgiving. Then you break out the Santa.”

A young dark haired boy in his late teens had been listening to them as he manned the booth. He was really cute in a sort of gothic way. He walked over to them. “Or you could buy both the jack-o’-lantern andthe pumpkin as well as the Santa with the sleigh and reindeer and make me practically salesman of the year in my older brother’s eyes.”

Jude laughed. “Well, there you go.”

“Who are you and who is your brother for that matter?”
