Chapter 9

He was full of nervous energy and had no idea what to do about it. He wasn’t due to go to work at Heloise’s until the afternoon. So, having nothing else to keep his mind off Nolan, Leo went by Vic’s where he knew he’d likely find his brother and Adam.

The new restaurant was scheduled to open in just over a month so Leo knew Adam was there all the time overseeing the construction. And where Adam could be found so could Galaxy. Ever since Galaxy’s hospitalization for an aneurysm the two were inseparable.

He parked his motorcycle in the parking lot Vic’s shared with St. Jude’s Florist shop and wandered over to the restaurant. Sure enough, Adam and Galaxy stood outside talking.

“Hey, Leo,” Adam greeted him with a smile.

“Hi.” Leo had been so glad when his brother found someone as good as Adam. And for an old guy, at least old to Leo, Adam was pretty good looking, too. “Everything on schedule?”
