“Home to bed for both of us, so let’s go.”

A few minutes later, Finn parked the car by the path leading down to the river near Luke’s bridge. “I’ll be at the library around one, if that works for you.”

“Perfect. By then I’ll be cross-eyed and glad to get out of there. Thank you for tonight. The help and the coffee,” Luke said, grabbing his backpack and getting out of the car.

“My pleasure.”

Finn watched as Luke hurried down the path. At the same time, he opened his senses to make certain Jourdain wasn’t in the area because…For damned sure, whether Luke knows it or not, the bastard is well aware where he sleeps. If Luke was right, and that was Jourdain’s Porsche, he has to be real pissed now.

Finn smiled grimly at that thought. He moved the car to a lot two blocks away, then returned, going down to the river, where he found a safe place to settle in and watch Luke’s hiding place until sunrise. 9
