Chapter 34

“Define ‘normal’,” Luke grumbled.

“I did say pretend,” Finn replied, putting one arm around Luke. “Just relax. Despite your front of kidding around, you’re wound up tighter than a drum.”

Luke leaned against him, sighing. “I wish I’d never met him.”

“Unfortunately, from what you’ve said, you didn’t have a choice in the matter. He pretty much stalked you, doing his best to make you feel important.”

“I amimportant,” Luke protested. “At least I am to me. And probably the few people I can call friends.”

“And to me,” Finn said gently.

Luke looked at him, his lips quirking up. “Well, you’re prejudiced, I think.”

“Very much so. It doesn’t mean I’m wrong.” He kissed Luke’s forehead.

“A bit lower and to the right.”

Finn complied, kissing Luke’s nose.

“I hope you never have to shoot a bad guy. Your aim sucks.”

“Oh, really, now?” Finn planted a kiss on Luke’s lips.
