Jourdain woke just before sundown with a feeling that something was amiss. There was a faint scent in the condo that didn’t belong to any of the few people who normally visited him.
Without bothering to dress, he strode to his office, turned on his computer and ran a check on the videos from the security cameras for the night.
“Think you’re smart, do you?” he muttered angrily when he saw the man he knew as Sean Molloy in one video. “Think you can invade my home and get away with it? When I find you, you will pay!”
Before that could happen, Jourdain knew he had to find him. Next time, he’ll try something more than flaunting the fact he can come and go here as he wishes. He smiled sourly. I should consider myself lucky that he didn’t try to come into my bedroom while I was sleeping. Not that he could have made it through the doorway without waking me.
