“So, did he stay in New York?” I ask.


“Yes, I think he’s waiting for Josh to come.”


I frown at the unfamiliar name. “Who’s Josh?”


“Do you remember that hot dude I was working on when you so delicatelyentered the tattoo parlor a few days before we left?”


My temper flares. How could I forget him and the way he was smiling at Sean?


“It isn’t nice for your boyfriend to talk about another guy and call him hot.”


Sean laughs again. “Are you jealous?”


“Me? Are you kidding? I just remember the way you were looking at each other when I entered the tattoo parlor. And it was lucky I came over when I did. You were staring at him in a way I didn’t like. I’m still wondering how you were able to work on him without making a mistake since you seemed to care more about his smile than his tattoo.”


“It’s obvious you’re not jealous at all, then.” He laughs again, and I grunt. “Anyway, it’s not what you think.”
