Chapter 63

“Slow,” said Dom. “It’s been at least ten minutes, hasn’t it?”

“And we haven’t seen anyone since Clark,” said Kiko, peering at the map on his phone. “We’re about at the point where I’m not sure whether to send people back to the entrance or on to the exit.”

“Deal with that when we find someone.”

It was too quiet. Kiko didn’t want to be here anymore.

“Look, Dom, we should probably turn back. We got some people out. Clark might need help.” He was beginning to fear coming across a body; Bobby had fired too many shots to not have hit someone. Kiko did not want to see people he knew dead.

“There might be more,” said Dom, and Kiko decided then that they were leaving if he had to drag Dom out against his will. He grabbed Dom’s shoulder and pulled him back to face him.

“No,” he said. “We’ve done enough, Dom. We’re going.”

“One more person.”

Kiko almost snapped.
